A phenomenal small and attentive hotel. The warmest welcome; we had booked bed and breakfast but on checking in were invited through to afternoon tea/coffee with a variety of lovely cakes and pastries. Such a nice treat, and really welcome the next day after a lot of sightseeing. Then to the room. It was huge but warm, with the comfiest bed and pillows I have ever slept in. The shower looked traditional but was so powerful. And I loved the generous Molton Brown products. We had only booked the basic room but there were fluffy gowns and slippers - such lovely touch. And a decanter of port in the room for us to enjoy. And in the bar there was also a choice of port or cherry liquor to help yourself to. All of the staff were lovely and made us feel really welcome. And I haven’t even mentioned the breakfast! Smoked salmon, freshest bread, lovely little pastries, and all the usual offer. Absolutely brilliant, I’ll be back within the year.

Our room had a huge king size bed. Housekeeping kept the room spotless. My husband left his passport and belongings in a taxi, the staff called the taxi service and all the passports and belongs were at the desk in an hour. What a godsend! The breakfast staff was helpful and friendly without brining intrusive. The bar staff helped my husband with numerous airline and local addresses. The doorman always checked the taxi driver knew their directions, we do not speak Portuguese. We were greeted as family. We had chairs to rest in our air conditioned room. The water temperature was perfect. Afternoon tea was delicious either a white tea and pastries. Wonderful staff and great Portuguese, art deco style, not a cookie cutter hotel that was plopped in any country.

The Hotel is a very beautiful Art Deco style with every detail given so much thought and attention to the period. The staff are amazing, always welcoming, helpful, and attentive. The service was exceptional from them all , they were always so efficient and thoughtful. Our room was beautiful and spotless, and the attention to cleanliness was superior. It was comfortable and well equipped. The breakfast was delicious, and everything was fresh and replenished frequently. The breakfast staff were so lovely. An added bonus was the welcoming complimentary afternoon tea with delicious cakes. The Hotel is situated in a good location too. We couldn't fault it and would stay there again if we were in Lisbon

Staff were all excellent, very friendly and helpful particularly the 2 ladies in the restaurant who were outstanding and greeted me with a glass of fizz at breakfast on my birthday. The hotel has been renovated beautifully and if you're a fan of Art Deco, you'll love it. The situation is good. Although the street is not very inspiring, it's only a (max) 5 minutes walk from Avenida metro station making it a very easy journey from the airport. Really enjoyed our stay and it was a pleasure to be in a hotel that hasn't lost it's character. Thank you to everyone.

The staff was above and beyond. Everything was perfect, in special the attention they give to the guests. You feel like home with friends around you. Love the breakfast, the tea time at afternoon with the famous and delicious Pastéis de Natas and history behind the local. No space and words to describe how wonderful was our staying. The ladies serving the breakfast, the guys ready to open the front door every time you go to leave or coming back and the amazing surprise on my birthday. Every single moment was memorable. Thank you!
